Challenge
Outdated Excel-based processes hindered accuracy and consistency in production data entry, leading to increased operational costs and missed opportunities for data-informed decisions.
Approach
Applied a human-centered design approach including user interviews, value stream mapping, usability testing, and design thinking workshops with Metallurgists and Supervisors. Collaborated with development teams through co-developed, value-aligned stories and implemented a responsive, intuitive UI for streamlined workflows and automated validation.
Outcome
The new platform improved user satisfaction, reduced data entry time, minimized manual errors, and enhanced real-time tracking. Empowered users and stakeholders to make faster, more informed decisions — ultimately reducing costs and helping meet Pregnant Leach Solution (PLS) production targets.
